I am a journalist and a communications, marketing and public relations professional. I've discovered that my passions are telling people's stories and motivating people to find their purpose and live their best life!
Martin Luther King Jr. was spat on, beat, had his house set on fire. Yet, he never responded with anger, hatred or violence. Life throws things at us that are sometimes outside of our control. But we have the power to choose our response; and our response makes all the difference. Think carefully about how you will respond to the things that happen to you and the effect your response will have on the rest of your life.
Today let’s be motivated to choosing carefully our responses. A little motivation is all we need!
We all enjoy the things that money can buy – cars, vacations, jewelry. Some things that we buy are necessary – food, water, paying for shelter. But there are things that no amount of money can buy – health, friendship, respect, happiness, peace of mind, love. We tend to glorify the things that have price tags attached. In reality, how important are those things? How much do those things really mean to our development as individuals? How much do they contribute to our development as a people?
Today, let’s be motivated to celebrating the things in life that are priceless. A little motivation is all we need!
A pilot always knows his destination. A teacher always has a lesson plan. Where are you going and how do you plan to get there? We must set goals and make plans for achieving those goals. Write down goals and a plan for success. Goals can be short term and long term; educational, financial, or spiritual; simple or elaborate. Goal setting is a must. Goals should be clear and attainable. When we have reached one goal – set another one, and another one.
Today let’s be motivated to setting goals to achieve our purposes. A little motivation is all we need!

“Thank you” are only two words, but they go such a long way. No matter our circumstance, we have so much to be thankful for. As we move through each day, we should say “thank you” to the people who have helped us in some way. On a larger scale, we should thank the people who have made our lives, or dreams, our careers – possible. What are you thankful for? Who are you thankful for?
Today let’s be motivated to showing our gratitude, in whatever way we know how. Saying thank you is a simple first step. Sometimes a little motivation is all we need!
